EYSA Board of Director Position Descriptions
The president shall chair all meetings of the Board and Meetings of Members of the Association. The President shall have overall responsibility for the stewardship of the Association. The President provides leadership and direction for the Board and serves as the voice of the collective will of the Board. The President is accountable to the Board;
The vice President shall work closely with the President in providing leadership and direction for the Association. The Vice President focuses generally on matters internal to the Association. The Vice President assumes the duties of the President in the absence or inability of the President to act. The Vice President is accountable to the Board;
The secretary shall perform clerical functions for the Board at the request of the President and shall be responsible for recording the minutes of all meetings of the Board and of the Executive Committee, and for carrying out such other duties assigned by the President. The Secretary is accountable to the Board;
The treasurer shall ensure that complete and accurate records are kept of the accounts of the Association. The Treasurer is responsible for fiscal administration of the Association’s assets and accounts, preparation of the seasonal budget, protection of Association assets, and implementation and monitoring of financial systems and procedures. The Treasurer shall, if required by the Board, provide a quarterly financial report to the Board and shall prepare the Annual Financial Statements for the Association to be filed with the Corporations Branch. The Treasurer is accountable to the Board;
The Registrar shall be responsible for maintaining a membership list for the Association in accordance with the requirements of the Act, and for player, team personnel and team registration for EYSA. The Registrar shall be responsible for ensuring that the Association’s registration procedures comply with the Rules and Regulations set out by SYSI, SSA and the PSL. The Registrar is accountable to the Board;
The equipment manager shall be responsible for the management, tracking and purchasing of equipment, jerseys and clothing. They shall provide regular reports to the board of directors.
The SYSI representative will attend SYSI meetings and represent EYSA views. They will submit regular reports to the ESYA board of directors.
The chair of the technical committee shall work with the technical committee and technical director. They shall chair monthly meetings of the committee and report back regular to the board of directors.
In conjunction with the tournament committee, the chair shall be responsible for the development and implementation of plans for all EYSA special events including tournaments. They shall provide regular reports to the board of directors.
The chair of the coordinator's committee will be a direct liaison with volunteer managers providing them support and resources necessary to perform their team manager duties. They shall provide regular reports to the board of directors.
The coaches associate will be a direct liaison with volunteer coaches providing them support and resources necessary to perform their coaching duties. The coaches associate shall be responsible for communicating and recording all volunteer certifications as per required by the EYSA board of directors. They shall provide regular reports to the board of directors.
The marketing coordinator shall be responsible for the development and implementations of a marketing plan for Eastside Youth Soccer Association. They shall provide regular reports to the board of directors.
