What is PSL?
The Provincial Soccer League (PSL) is a Saskatchewan Soccer Association operated league, collecting competitive teams from across Saskatchewan. This league operates only in the outdoor season and is seperate from the local Saskatoon Youth Soccer (SYS) League.
For the 2020 outdoor season, Eastside is registering teams in the U13 Boys and Girls PSL divisions in the place of local SYS U13 Premier leagues.
The SSA has indicated the U13 divisions will be operated in a weekend format - multiple games on a weekend - with the following identified weekends as competition dates:
1) May22-24;
2) May29-31;
3) June 12 - 14;
4) June 26 - 28; and
5) July10-12
Commitment Expectations
Eastside targets 4 - 5 events per week. On competition weeks, the training load will be adjusted to help mitigate the chance of fatigue. Players are expected to make a high level of commitment to the team, attending as many events as possible. In the event of a conflict with another soccer related event, players are expected to prioritize their commitment to the Eastside event.
Evaluations
Eastside aims to take rosters of 14 - 16 players for each team.
