As a non-profit, community-based organization, Eastside Youth Soccer Association relies on the support of parents and guardians to help run our programs successfully. To ensure fairness and continued success, we require all families to contribute volunteer time or pay a volunteer bond.
To help support a great soccer experience for every player, we require a $150 volunteer bond per player submitted during registration. This bond will be added to your registration automatically.
If your volunteer commitment is completed, the bond will be refunded at the end of the season to the same payment method used at registration.
We would love to see all families volunteer throughout the season! Please contact the office if you are interested in additional opportunities to earn your volunteer bond back.
Each family is required to provide 4 hours of volunteer service during the season per player.
Alternatively, families may choose to pay a Volunteer Bond of $150 in lieu of volunteering.
Volunteer opportunities include: coaching, team management, tournament support, equipment, player placement check-in, serving on the board of directors, etc.
Q: If my partner and I both work a 2-hour shift during the tournament will that count as our full 4-hour volunteer bond?
A: Yes!
Q: Can a player work the volunteer hours themselves?
A: Yes! Provided they are responsible enough to work the position they are volunteering for.
Q: If I have 2 (or more) kids playing Eastside soccer, do I have 2 (or more) volunteer bonds?
A: Yes. There is a 4-hour volunteer bond per player registered with Eastside.
Q: I'm coaching or managing a team, does that fulfill their volunteer bond?
A: Absolutely! Provided you have completed all of the required training and provided all of the required documentation.
Q: If I work half the required hours, do I get half of my volunteer bond returned?
A: No, you must volunteer at least 4 hours to have the bond returned.
